Description
Ever wonder why John decided to take on Beekeeping as a hobby? Love reading the newsletter and seeing the "Bee Block" updates? Miss the field trips you took as a kid? Join John for a morning of nature, learning about the Honey bee, and how John has grown his hobby into a wonderful passion.
Beekeeping is steadily gaining interest, and this gratifying hobby offers plenty of benefits that extend beyond honey. Many beekeepers enjoy the personal connection to nature and living things, while others appreciate being part of the beekeeping community.
Beekeeping supports community pollination, food supplies, and fosters bee populations outside of the commercial beekeeping industry.
*Please note this event will be near actual bee hives with live bees. We will provide protection in the form of bee suits, but please do not sign up for this event if you potentially have an allergy. In addition, we will require a signed waiver before participation is granted. This event is limited to adults over the age of 18.
